Investigative bloggers

There are many state-level political bloggers on the left and on the right. Blogging started out as an exercise in punditry. It is also an important way for those of similar political views to build community.

A third, but much less frequent, way to blog is by combining your blog with investigative material that you dig up. There are lots of way to do original investigative reporting on a blog.

One way that can be extremely fruitful--and so far is very unusual--is through filing FOIA or open records requests.
